Class/Camp Policy

Youth Weekly Sewing Class:

  • 1. Agreement To Follow Directions and Code of Conduct

All participants must agree to observe and obey all posted rules and warnings, and further agree to follow any oral instructions or directions given by Pretty Sharp Pins Sewing School LLC, or the employees, representatives, or agents of Pretty Sharp Pins Sewing School LLC. Including the following:

    • Be respectful to all participants and staff.

    • Take direction from staff / instructors.

    • Refrain from using abusive or foul language.

    • Refrain from causing bodily harm to self or other participants.

    • Refrain from damaging equipment, supplies, and facilities.

    • Refrain from harassment of staff / instructors or participants.

     Student Conduct and Disciplinary Action

First Warning: If a student is not following the rules and regulations of the class, they will receive a verbal warning from the instructor.

Second Warning: If the behavior continues after the first warning, the student will receive a second verbal warning.

Continued Misbehavior: If the behavior persists after the second warning, the parent or guardian will be contacted and asked to pick up the student from class early.

This policy ensures a respectful and conducive learning environment for all students.

    2. Attendance Policy

    • Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes to class. Doors may be locked if you arrive earlier than 5 mins. This allows our teachers to prep properly for each class.

    • Late Arrivals (more than 30 minutes) to any class, camp or workshop could potentially forfeit the class/camp.

    • Students who withdraw before the end of the school year may not complete their current project. We try our best to help students finish and take projects home within a specific timeline, but this is not always guaranteed and depends on each student’s pace and learning style. Sewing is an art, not a science — and every student’s journey is a little different! Students are encouraged to attend regularly to build skills and complete each project fully.

    3. Illness Policy:
For the safety of all students and staff, please do not send your child to class if they have had a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or other contagious symptoms within the past 24 hours. If a student arrives visibly ill, parents will be contacted for early pickup.

    4. Makeup Class Policy
     Eligibility for Makeup Classes

    • To qualify for a makeup class, families must submit notice of a student’s absence by 11:59 PM the night before the scheduled class. (Example: For a Tuesday 4:00 PM class, notice must be submitted no later than Monday at 11:59 PM.)

    • Absences must be submitted through the Parent Portal only.
Absences submitted via phone, text, email, or in-person conversation will not qualify for a makeup.

    • While a makeup credit may appear automatically in a family’s account, it will only be honored if the absence was submitted by the required deadline.

    • Makeup classes are not guaranteed and are offered as a courtesy when space allows, in appreciation for families who notify us of absences in advance.

     Makeup Scheduling Rules

    • Makeup credits expire 30 days after the original missed class.

    • Makeups may be scheduled up to 1 week in advance through the Parent Portal.

    • Students must be currently enrolled to use any available makeup credit.

    • Once a makeup class is booked, it is considered used—rescheduling is not permitted, even if the student is unable to attend.

    5. Late Class Pick Up Policy

Students must be picked up within 5 minutes of the scheduled class ending time. If a student is picked up more than 10 minutes late, a $10 late pickup fee will be applied. After the 10-minute mark, an additional $1 per minute will be charged for each additional minute the child remains at the studio.

Late pickups impact the studio’s ability to prepare for the next class and require additional staff supervision. Families who are repeatedly late may lose access to makeup classes or risk suspension of enrollment. If a delay is unavoidable, we ask that parents contact the studio as soon as possible. Transition periods between classes allow our teachers to get mandated breaks and give time to prep for the next class. We want to make sure every student is safe and taken care of.

    6. Classroom Access Policy:

To ensure student safety and maintain a calm classroom environment, parents and guardians are not permitted inside the classroom during class unless specifically invited by a staff member. Please wait at the door during drop-off and pickup, and exit the studio promptly after your child is dismissed.

    7. Withdrawal Policy

To withdraw from any class, a parent or guardian must complete and submit the official Withdrawal Form online OR send an email to info@fabrictofashionsewingschool.com by the 20th of the month prior to avoid charges for the upcoming month. No refunds, credits, or chargebacks will be issued for missed withdrawal deadlines.

    8. Tuition Payment Failure Policy
If your payment is declined, you will have 10 calendar days to update your payment method in the Parent Portal. If no valid payment method is on file by then, a $20 late fee will be applied. If payment is not received within 14 days, your child’s enrollment could be dropped and their spot may be given to another student.

It is your responsibility to ensure payment information is current and valid before the 1st of each month.

Camp Policies:

  • Camp date Changes and Cancellations made 7 days before the scheduled class/camp will receive a full refund.

  • Date Changes and Cancellations made within 7 days of the start of a camp will receive a 50% refund of their camp fee.

  • No shows will forfeit their camp fee, no exceptions.

Payment Overview

Payments can be made directly to Pretty Sharp Pins Sewing School LLC (DBA Fabric to Fashion Sewing School) via credit card or through your charter school’s designated payment system.

Credit Card Payment Option

All tuition payments are charged automatically to the credit card on file. Charges are processed on the 1st of each month to cover that month’s tuition.

It is the family's responsibility to ensure that payment information is current and valid before the 1st of each month.

If a payment is declined, families will have 10 calendar days to update their payment method in the Parent Portal. If no valid payment method is on file by then, a $20 late fee will be applied. If payment is not received within 14 days, the student’s enrollment may be dropped and their spot may be given to another student.

Tuition fees are posted to your account on the 20th of the prior month. If you wish to withdraw from a class, you must notify us by the 20th of the month prior to avoid charges on the 1st.

Tuition is not prorated for absences or studio closures. Some months have extra classes and some have fewer; tuition remains consistent to simplify billing. Holiday closures are the exception, unless you still receive four classes in the month; in that case, tuition remains the same.

Charter School (Homeschool) Payment Option

Families paying with charter funds agree to request a Purchase Order (PO) or Enrichment Certificate from their charter school at the time of registration. When registering, select “Charter Funds” as your payment method. Your personal credit card or bank account will not be charged if a valid PO is on file and processed on time.
If a PO is not received and approved before the first class of your session or each month, families are responsible for paying tuition directly.

If you plan to withdraw from a class, you must notify us by the 20th of the month prior to avoid charges for the upcoming month.

Families may choose to pay ahead for future months for convenience; however, payments must be made in increments equal to one month of tuition fees, so we can accurately track and apply your balance.

Some months have extra classes and some have fewer; tuition remains consistent to simplify billing. We do not prorate tuition for charter-funded students, except for our December holiday closure and end-of-year June closure. This policy is in place due to the additional administrative steps and complexity required to track and adjust charter billing. Families paying with credit card may receive prorated adjustments for certain other scheduled/holiday studio closures.

General Payment Terms

  • Tuition payments are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-creditable, regardless of attendance, absences, or withdrawal after posted deadlines.

  • By enrolling, families expressly authorize Pretty Sharp Pins Sewing School LLC (DBA Fabric to Fashion Sewing School) to automatically charge the payment method or apply an approved Purchase Order (PO) on file for tuition and any applicable fees.

  • Families agree it is their sole responsibility to maintain a current and valid payment method or approved PO on file at all times and to follow all billing and withdrawal deadlines as outlined in this policy.
