Sewing Summer Camp
August 5th - 9th
9am to 12pm

During our half day camp campers will learn how to thread a sewing machine, use proper seam allowance, select the right size pattern, cut out a sewing pattern properly, pin fabric, use the iron and other basic sewing techniques used to make clothing.
By the end of the week they will complete a tote bag and one project of their choosing which they will show off during our fashion show on the final day! Ages 8-12
Must be 8 years old (or attending 3rd grade in the fall) NO exceptions.

What we create!
First time and returning students make a tote bag and one other project of their choosing from our 10+ project options.
Projects will be chosen on day one.
Drop Off/Pick Up:
To participate in camp all campers must sign a waiver to use all tools and the professional sewing machine. Sign our waiver here prior to 1st day of camp.
Doors open for camp at 8:50am each day. Students must be signed in each morning by an adult. Pick up is at 4:00pm each day.
What to Bring:
Please pack a water bottle for your student. There isn’t a water fountain on the premise.
Also, pack a small snack as we do take a short 15 min break during our half day camps.
Fashion Show:
Our fashion show will be on Friday at 11:40am. Each student is assigned two seats at the show for guests and you are welcome to have little ones sit on your lap!
Everything will wrap up at about 12:00pm
Late Arrival/Missed Day:
We make handmade clothing and accessories in this camp, so its very important the students get the full amount of time to work! If you miss a day or arrive late we cannot guarantee the projects will be finished.
Day One: If a student is more than 20 mins late on Monday or misses the day completely we cannot accept the student. Day one we learn all safety procedures right away and it is the foundation for the rest of the week!
Cancelations/ Date Changes:
Camp date Changes and Cancellations made 7 days before the scheduled class/camp will receive a full refund.
Date Changes and Cancellations made within 7 days of the start of a camp will receive a 50% refund of their camp fee.
No shows will forfeit their camp fee, no exceptions.
We cannot accept any student who is more than 30 minutes late on Monday, or misses Monday's camp completely.
Parking:
Street Parking is available, but is limited. If it is full, we recommend turning south towards the ocean and parking on the residential streets. The walk is only a short block away.
